Institute Awards
The Gary Memorial Medal was established by the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ at its thirty-second general meeting in New York City on October 28, 1927, to honor Elbert H. Gary, its Founder and first President, and perpetuate the memory of his achievements in the iron and steel industry. The medal is awarded by the Board of Directors of the Institute in recognition of outstanding achievement in the industry. .
